The Little Phoenix Is Grounded

Little Phoenix's surgery went very well, although he was in pain immediately afterwards. When he started to come out of his deep sleep, he kept crying and said that he felt "weird." After downing three slushies, two bags of Teddy Grahms, and with some tylenol/codine, he started to feel much better.

Now comes the hard part - keeping him inactive for three weeks.

I've got a lot of work to catch-up on, but I'll get back to my regular posting by Saturday.

Again, thank you so much for all of your thoughts, prayers, and kind words. You all are really a bunch of fantastical people.

I don't have kids yet, but I can only imagine seeing them in pain would break my heart. I hope everything goes smoothly in the next couple of weeks.

I'm glad to hear things went well. GOOD LUCK keeping him inactive. That's gonna be a tough one. My son would probably tie me up just to jump from one couch to the next, JUST ONCE, MOM!

Wow--if that's a picture of the little guy post-surgery, he looks great. Very robotic.

Best of luck!

I'm glad to hear little Phoenix is feeling better and that everything went well! It's always scary when they have go under anaesthesia. My son had that surgery when he was a little baby; it made the "inactivity" part a little easier.

Buy him some extra Transformers to play with!

Glad to hear lil' Phoenix is doing well. I suggest that since the entire Star Wars saga is now available on DVD then why don't you stage a movie marathon. You can watch the story from Ep 1 top Ep 6. Good way to keep him off his feet. for a day or two.

...hmmm. Doesn't sound like a bad plan! Hope he's mending quickly - and keep those treats coming!
