A-Z Challenge Preview

Yes, I am a glutton for punishment!

Last year, I joined the A-Z Challenge at the very last minute. This year, I signed up MUCH earlier and even volunteered to help out. I am one of the minions working under QQQUE's Matthew MacNish.

2012's challenge was fun and exhausting. I enjoyed sharing everything I know about Steampunk. But this year, I struggled to come up with a topic. I actually lost a little sleep over it, mulling various subject and ideas in my head.

I decided to blog about what I know - and I'm a big 80s fan. My first blog (way back in 2004) was centered around great TV shows of the 80s, but that blog lasted maybe two or three posts. These days, I still get my 80s fix from being one of the crazy contributors to a great website - Culture Brats.

So be prepared to revisit that wonderful time where bright bold neon colors ruled, and girls' bangs could double as CB antennas....you're gonna get A-Z of Everything 80s from yours truly!

If you haven't signed up for the A-Z Challenge, get over to the website HERE and do it. Yeah, posting nearly every day for a whole month is TOUGH, but well worth it.

It's only hard if you don't write your posts in advance. I don't know why people don't just do that. Should be obvious. Maybe they don't know about the scheduling function on Blogger?

Super fun! I joined this year too. I'll be blogging about blogging :)

Excellent choice! And glad you are one of Matthew's Minions.

Looking forward to the '80s again. :)

I've incorporated Mistress Snark's Tuesday Tea into my A to Z posts on Tuesdays, making her guests deal with the letter of the day while under the influence. Should be interesting!

Aw, I'm not gonna be able to join you this year, but I'm definitely gonna be crawling over your blog every day! Can't wait to see what you have in store for us unsuspecting victims. :)

That will be a fun topic. I wrote all my posts this weekend and will schedule them soon.

Lookin toward it! While I won't be a part of the fun, I do plan to do some lurking.

I'm blogging about the Clone Wars cartoon series from Cartoon Network. My first post will be "Ahsoka Tano", Anakin's padawan.

I'm doing it with miscellaneous and will try to get them ready in advance.(Actually they will mostly be little sayings you could find on a rock.)

The 80's were fab. I graduated HS, college and moved to NYC. At the end of the decade I moved to DC. So I guess it was a very eventful decade.

I'm AtoZing, too. I split my topic and am still stuck on what to do with z. Zzzz is still winning.

Radical dude.

I have no idea what I could A to Z on and decided absolutely nothing so I'll just enjoy reading what you write.

PT: I had to show to new bloggers how to schedule their posts. It changed how they blogged!

J.A.: Blogging about blogging! Sounds fun.

Alex: Thanks!

Laura: I promise, it will be a fun ride.

Veronica: Maybe next year. Hope you enjoy my posts.

L. Diane: You wrote all of them? Wow. Good for you!!!

faraway: Lurking is good.

Michael: Whoa! That is awesome. I'd like to learn more about "Snips."

Eve: Sounds inspirational. Can't wait to read them.

Mary: You really did some livin' in the 80s. Not sure yet about my X or Z yet...

Rusty: Hope you don't get burned out. Best thing is to stay ahead of the game. Easier said than done.

Man....I wish I'd thought of that!!

This should be fun. The eighties was when I came of age, got my first job and all sorts of other things.

I won't be A-Zedding, but I'm looking forward to what people write.

Thanks for your help in the A to Z. Love the nature of your theme. I kept up with music in the 80's and saw a lot of films, but I rarely watched TV during that decade so don't know much about it.

Some of the best times of my life were in the 80's. Lot's of good memories.
