Hmmm...so where and when would I book my time trip? I'm a big history buff, so I think I'd love to go back to Ancient Rome as a guest on Emperor Caligula's pleasure barges. I would not participate in any of the bacchanal activities going on, but I just want to know if all that craziness is true. Was Caligula really that nutty? This inquiring mind wants to know!

I've always been a time travel fan. The very first book report I ever did was H.G. Wells' The Time Machine. It's the book that made me fall in love with Victorian Steampunk. PK's own novel is set for publication on 11-12-13! How cool is that?

PK Hrezo is a native Floridian whose life could easily be a Jimmy Buffet song. She shares her home with her firefighter husband and their two children. When not creating characters and their worlds, PK can be found at her other job of rearranging passenger’s itineraries for a major international airline. The only hobbies she loves more than traveling, are reading, writing, and music, and when the four are combined she exists in total bliss.
She blogs regularly at PK HREZO: Fearless Fiction http://pk-hrezo.blogspot.com/

I'm guessing he was that nutty.
Awesome cover, PK!

Now THAT would be interesting. So many past events would be on my to-do list. How cool your first book report was HG Wells! I'd like to think of my book as a modern day Time Machine, but that would be WAY too bold. :)

Thanks for posting on an abnormal posting day! And yours is coming up soon!!

Ancient Rome is a cool idea Jay. Congrats PK the book sounds great and the cover spectacular.

Just watch out Jay that they don't put you into the gladiatorial ring. Rome liked its excesses. Caligula - definitely an interesting pick.

Oops. Forgot to wish the best to PK! I love time travel, too.

Jay Noel said...

Alex: Yeah. Making his horse an official was probably the dead-giveaway

PK: You can't go wrong with time travel!

Sheena-kay: I'm thinking it'd be a dangerous time to visit

D.G.: Caligula set the bar pretty high for crazy Roman emperors

You're brave, Jay, but I'd like to know, too. Since I enjoyed Spartacus, I'd like to know what the gladiator rebellion was like.

Jay Noel said...

Mary: Purely just as a spectator, not actively participating. That's all I'm asking! I'm pretty sure the gladiator rebellion was bloody as they describe it. You know, they don't know what really happened to Spartacus. They said he died, but they couldn't confirm it...so maybe I'd like to go back and see what happened to him.

I think you want to go back just to witness the Crazy In Action... not to see if it was that crazy. hahaha. But who can blame you?

Siv Ottem said...

Interesting choice! You can't go wrong with Rome at any time. Congrats to PK!

congrats to the author!
Hope your week is going fine, Jay!

Jay Noel said...

Robin: I'm a curious dude.

Siv: As long as I don't have to drink the wine out of the lead goblets, I'll be fine.

Dez: Thanks buddy!

Who doesn't like history? Although my trip isn't historical, I did debate going to several historical times, and Ancient Rome would be another good one.

Jay Noel said...

Chrys: Ancient Greece would be a close second. Or maybe if you could be at the signing of the Declaration of Independence

What happens on Emperor Caligula's pleasure barges stays on Emperor Caligula's pleasure barges Jay.

Hi Jay. So many taking part today are history buffs. I got such a thrill the first time I saw Ancient Rome as I was an Ancient History teacher at the time. Go Pk!
