My Pathetic Mailing List and Some Awesome Debuts

One of my marketing plans was to create a mailing list so I could send exclusive content and updates to those who subscribed. But of course, I didn't really mention the darn thing more than once. So I do want to plug it again in the hopes that I at least double my current subscriber list.

Which currently stands at 5 awesome people.

I know. Don't laugh. So if you don't mind receiving MAYBE one or two updates from me about some cool stuff I'm doing (which will include giveaways), could you please help a blogger out? I promise, no junk!

Reborn Blog Tour

I read Cherie Reich's Reborn, and it's one of the best reads for me so far this year. Highly recommended!

Are you ready to challenge Fate?

To save a kingdom, a prophetess must challenge Fate.

On the day of Yssa’s death and rebirth, the god Apenth chose her as the Phoenix Prophetess.

Sea serpents and gods endanger the young prophetess’s journey and sour the omens. Yssa is cursed instead of blessed, and her duties at the Temple of Apenth prove it. She spends her days reading dusty scrolls, which does nothing to help her forget Tym, the boy back home. But the annoying yet gorgeous ferryman’s son Liam proves to be a distraction she can’t predict, even though he rarely leaves her alone for two sand grains.

Her boring temple life screeches to a halt when visions of her parents’ murders consume her. Yssa races across an ocean to stop the future. If she can’t change Fate, she’ll refuse to be the Phoenix Prophetess any longer. Fate, however, has other plans for her and the kingdom.

Yssa must either accept her destiny or fight to change Fate.

A mailing list seems like too much work to me. Also probably no one would sign up for one if I did it.

Now you have one more member to your mailing list, Jay. :)

Love Carol's cover!

Thanks so much for promoting Reborn as well as reading and reviewing! I appreciate it!

Congrats to Cherie and Carol! All the best ladies!

Hey, Jay. How are you?

Jay Noel said...

Pat: I'm starting to figure that out too.

Cherie: Why thank you! And good luck to you and Reborn!

Michael: I'm hanging in there. Stuck in the editing cave.

Thank you, Michael!

Thanks for the luck, Jay! There are days I think that's all we need. :)

I signed up for your newsletter! That's the only good thing about a .com addy - you can actually see who subscribes. In Blogger, there's no way to access the names or send to them. :P

Congrats to Carol! Awesome cover! More congrats to Cherie for her blog tour. (I have to read/review that book and I'm worried I'm gonna miss her day on my blog! Eek!)

Congrats on the 8/10 on the Horror Quiz. I knew you'd do well. ;)

Thanks for sharing my cover, Jay! It's an honor to share space on your blog with the awesome Cherie!

Forgot. Thanks for all the good wishes here!

Thanks, Lexa! And if you're behind on the review, that's fine! I know it's a long book. :)

Thank you, Christine!

It's an honor to see your pretty cover on the same post as mine, Carol! :)

Did I sign up for your mailing list? I don't remember. Sorry if I do so twice. Newsletters and mailing lists are still very important and a powerful marketing tool. Between being a speaker and an author, I have thousands of emails on my mailing list. (But unlike the newsletter I used to run, I only send out announcements for book releases now.)

Both covers are beautiful.

I've started two of them so far, but never get around to using them. I'll sign up for yours, though! Congrats to Carol and Cherie. :)

Congratulations to Carol and Cherie!!! :) And I signed up. :)

I've signed up for your mailing list, mostly because I have one with 5 signees, so I know what it feels like. I really ought to do more with it!

Congratulations to Carol and Cherie :-)

Great covers! Congratulations to the authors and happy book releases to both.

Jay, I subscribed twice, but even though it says it'll send me a confirmation email, I got nothing (not even in Spam).

Thanks so much for the congrats, River, Tyrean, Annalisa, and Stephanie!

Diane, the talented Laura Sava created the cover for Reborn. I'm so lucky to work with her on the cover art. :)

I would sign up for your newsletter, but I am HORRIBLE about reading my email. I will read it if I KNOW I *must* take action, but otherwise... meh. This is not to say your newsletter is a bad idea... just not good for moi.

I signed up. I'm already buried, so one more email won't be a problem. :-)

Great covers for these two.

Thanks everybody!
